JoAnne is a creative consultant with filmmakers and NGOs to build outreach and engagement strategies around a variety of media projects. This work also involves building strategic partnerships, fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
JoAnne comes from a background in feature film production and financing as well as documentary filmmaking having been involved with projects for HBO, History Television, Discovery and National Geographic. Production credits include ‘Fezeka’s Voice’ which won Best International Documentary at Tri-Continental Festival 2009 and was nominated for Most Inspiring Documentary at the Henley International Film Festival 2010. As an Impact Consultant, she’s worked with Tracy Worcester’s ‘Pig Business’ (UK), ‘Cyber-Seniors’ (CAN) and was involved in the early development of ‘Earth: A New Wild’ for PBS, produced by Passion Pictures for PBS/Nat Geo/The Nature Conservancy. Recently she collaborated with SongbirdSOS Productions Inc. on the release of Su Rynard’s ‘The Messenger’, a poetic film about the alarming decline of global songbird populations.
